In order to have a Threads acct. you need an Instagram account. Additionally, to delete one, you will need to delete your IG, as well. I opened an IG a month or so ago to follow someone I used to follow on Twitter, but I haven't decided whether I'll bother with Threads, yet. I mean, I'm 68...I only have so many years left. Not sure how much of them I care to devote to keeping up with all those online accounts. LOL.

They also both collect a bit more of your data than twitter does, if that matters to you, but all social media sites do. If you have IG, they've already got it, anyway.

This feature works for YouTube (videos), Twitter (tweets), Facebook (posts, photos and videos), Instagram (posts and videos), Threads (posts), Imgur (images and videos) and NHC Audio Briefings (mp3 files). In our testing, you can't post an Instagram and Threads post in the same message. The Threads message will not load.
