The site loads for me, but I do notice some issues now that I look closer that might be what you mean.
It adds tweets that the person has not tweeted. I imagine they are ads and that the security settings I do run block them from being clickable. I just took a look at two accounts, including Jim's, and it adds a tweet that I can't find when l am logged in to Twitter. The same with another account, Mark Sudduth, that I just looked at. It added something I can't find on Twitter for him too. And looking further back on the timelines, there are more too it seems.
And it really makes it look like it came from them.
Other issues, Twitter replies are thrown into the main timeline and I can't click it to see what someone is replying to. Maybe all my security addons blocking it.
Links are not clickable. You have to copy the link and then paste it in another tab. Or easier, highlight it, and in Chrome you can hit "Go to [url here]". In Firefox you can choose "Open Link in New Tab".
People shouldn't download anything from a link off that site, which is just good in general, and just be aware that some things are not actually posted by the person. Leave the security settings on and it seems to work well enough just to see what people posted. Unless it is a reply to another person's tweet, then it is hard to decipher.
Looking at who runs it, they block their information in the WHOIS database. (of who owns domains) Then again, I do too for my website even though my information is on record with the state of Florida. (other than my phone number) As long as no one enters personal information on the site though, and doesn't download anything, they should be okay. |
