He has been doing some pretty good overshooting tops all morning with moderate to high rain-rate.

Outflow on the NW quad was looking good yesterday morning when the dry air was more unstable.

Late yesterday, the dry air become more stable and capped which then limited outflow there.

It is still stable at the moment.

Maybe solar heating of the Yucatan landmass during the day could turn the air unstable and get Richard going.

If you start seeing convection pop over the YP, then Richard should ramp up.
