Exactly! If ANY month in the hurricane season has a personality of its own, it is most certainly October! Once this ridge settles in and kicks Rich west, things should stay relatively predictable until he gets into the Gulf. Knowing that this is October and that troughs have been digging down rather deeply this so far this fall, forecasting this storm's path once it gets up into the GOM may be quite a task.
