I was checking on the comments to that article but had not yet noticed they responded to mine. They even updated the article with the links I had which was good.

I didn't hear back from NOAA, but I might not. I'm sure the webmaster's email is probably the busiest.

It seems like this company may have had a grand opening of sorts yesterday at the Florida office. The company has been registered for a few years but I don't know what they have done over that time at other offices. It seems like they want to do what they say, and if true the guy doing it may have a lot of money to spend on it, but they need to tone down the rhetoric in the future. If there was not the rhetoric it would be more, well that's interesting, I wish them luck. (rather than the negativity many have expressed) Better communication is needed in their future. The insurance thing is a little odd in my opinion. They connect people with contractors, maybe eventually they want to try to prove what damage was caused by what, such as flooding or wind. It's bundling a bit too much under one umbrella in my opinion. Imagine if the NHC also decided what destroyed your home, wind, water, or some combination of both. But this is private industry and people can pay for what they want to pay for.
