I thought the purpose was to report on events as they happen; which I did.

No one ever suggested this was a wind storm; and I never mentioned anything about winds until I actually noticed them.

Jim Cantore was positioned midway between downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach, two blocks inland from my apt. Did you happen to catch him this morning when he mentioned the winds were gusting to 50mph?

As noted in my post above, there was a window of stiff winds associated with the Low's arrival early this morning. I noticed it; Jim Cantore noticed it; and NOAA obs reported it.

If anyone in the ILM coastal area never saw winds above 20mph; well, they were either sleeping or locked indoors, oblivious to what was going on outside.

Again, I reported events as they happened; based on as much empirical data as possible. If such reporting doesn't match the expectations, or satisfy the egos of others - I'm just not going to bother with this again.
