I'm going to use links instead of pics so the user will have to click them back and forth to see the differences (which will be obvious.)

First is the 500mb 00Z GFS 78 hours out:

Then the 500mb 06Z GFS 72 hours out (same effective time, just a later run.)

You can clearly see the change in the trough (more amplified; less effective at the coast) and Bill's closer position to the coast.

We'll see more changes in future models because as the SPC said - this stuff is still evolving. But whatever the case, I have every confidence, the Carolinas are 100% safe, lol. (As for points north, y'all are on your own!)
