I disagree.

Houston has a large population, people in, people out... and Allison was in 2001 that was 14 years ago. People forget. They hear about it but they don't really know how bad it was and if it didn't happen to them... it's history and if its not on NETFLIX they don't know about it.

Oh wait.........most kids watch NETFLIIX and TWC isn't on there is it...

Being honest.

I'[ve had people in Miami (mostly under 30) tell me Miami isn't ready for another hurricane because they don't happen that often...  ??? Yes was told they happen "like once every 20 years or so"

NHC gets press coverage. NWS does not.

Local weather people on the news will talk on it but in today's world most people really do not watch the nightly news.

Tropical Storm status gets official attention.

Also employers do not respect a "strong storm" and phrases like "the weather is there even without a name"

So hope the NHC step up to the plate and put out advisories and get on it already as the strongest weather is currently close to shore along populated areas filled with tourists from out of town do not know about Allison.

Note.. last week a kid was bitten by a shark off NC coast their boogie board had big bites out of it.. they played down the story. Tourists you know.. never cry SHARK and act like it was a random event. Sunday 2 more people were attacked and one lost an arm, part of a leg...   Now the media is all over it but even so is worrying on how it will affect the Tourist Season.
