yup, I hear that - nobody wants to "harm the economy"... employers say "you have to come to work" some employees can't afford not to

Harris Co has a pretty good emergency alert system, works with surrounding counties, et al... but they can't cry wolf if the big guns are crying puppy...

just Memorial weekend here, ppl were driving into high water, never mind that they were driving at all, and that WAS a level 1 emergency day - today we are in level 2 http://www.readyharris.org/go/doc/1829/1422663/ but I have not heard that mentioned in the local news !

I was looking for weather on tv last night, found 10 reruns of Prospectors...now I like Prospectors, but... I wanted weather
