So we definitely need a live shot up there with someone next to a penguin in hurricane force winds. (It shouldn't even be a real penguin.)

I'm not sure how good a wind chill calculation is for high wind speeds.

http://www.nws.noaa.gov/os/windchill/

32F and 20mph of wind makes it feel like 20F. If the wind is 100mph at the same temp it feels like 10F? The calculator on that page only allows you to go up to 109mph. I have a feeling at wind speeds so high, it would just feel ridiculously cold, not really quantifiable. You would have to be in so many layers anyway, it would have no real meaningful value. Basically, you don't want to be there. Well, live there. It would be kind of cool, uh, literally and figuratively, to experience it though. I see upper 30's and gusts to 90mph as the highest on the NWS point forecasts.

I would not do well in Alaska. Here in Florida 80 is ice cream weather and 70 is hot chocolate weather. Or at least it was this week even though I have yet to buy some hot chocolate this year. Plus, I believe the joke in Alaska is that the state bird is the mosquito.

Now former Nuri zipping along in this image right now:

Later when it gets to Alaska, here is a satellite of Alaska:

Pacific imagery that those come from:

It's coming in from the bottom left on this image which is not great due to imagery not being available at the same time for all regions in the image:
