Re: Conspiracy or just greed and stupidity

Neither. It's just the natural progression of civilization and technology with its inherent learning curve and costs.

New science (and medicine) is by nature a risky business. The folks who first worked with uranium tended not to live to a ripe old age; but does that mean working with uranium was wrong? And who would doubt there was probably a "radon conspiracy" of one sort or another back then.

Being we're not all dropping like flies from using our electronic gadgetry, I would concede they're safe "enough" to use.

Between cars and guns, we kill or maim hundreds of thousands of people every year; and while it's quite natural to "control" them; there's never been any effort to actually ban them in their entirety. Where are the conspiracy theories about cars and guns being invented to cull the population? There aren't any; because cars and guns are easily understandable.

Conspiracy theories are always about things not fully understood. And from the left-wing lunacy of the Twin Towers imploding to the right-wing lunacy of believing Sharia Law will take over the West; there appears no end to the supply of poor thinkers.

What REALITY shows us is as I said in the beginning; "...the natural progression of civilization with its inherent learning curve and costs." Because this is not always exciting (or exciting enough); some people will make up things to 'make it more exciting'; and I suspect that's why we have so many conspiracy theories.
