And if he didn't pay up, shame on Doug.  Jim's right -- what good are bets if people are going to reneg on their commitment if they happen to lose??  NOT nice.

On the other hand, if Doug did pay up or is going to do so now, please forgive the above remarks.

Bottom line for everyone remains: if we can't (or won't) pay up, we should keep our mouths shut and not make frivolous bets.
