Re: What I Learned From This Thread

I stopped watching TWC years ago - but as you say, I should have considered that many may still watch it - and feel disappointed day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year...

And some may watch it regularly and enjoy it (though they aren't exactly stepping up to the plate to say so are they?)

And speaking of "stepping up to the plate", I'm in the middle of a short but excellent book on the subject; "Letters to a Young Contrarian" by Christopher Hitchens. Historically, both the establishment and the masses are angered by the few who stand up to inconvenient or unpleasant wrongs or falsehoods but thankfully some always do. The book is a mixture of history and philosophy - that together helps explain how we act and what the consequences are. It's surprisingly good.

Anyway, I better understand your point now. Thank you.
