When my dad moved to Tampa around 1980 from where he lived prior, New York, he didn't know anything about hurricanes. If he had, he would have done things differently, like build the house higher. It's nice we have so much coverage of storms now, including old ones. It's harder to not be informed of storms when previously, without the internet and with less news coverage probably, it was easier to not be informed about things. It's interesting to see the old coverage.
