Since I won't be seeing totality anyway, hopefully any passing clouds are brief. I've had to water twice this week because the rain keeps missing me, so maybe any clouds around will be small and temporary. I can't imagine driving somewhere to view totality and then getting stuck with a cloud during the couple minutes the sun is completely blocked.
Short video about eclipses:
While looking at astronomy related things, unrelated to eclipses I was reading this article about Voyager: http://www.newyorker.com/tech/elements/voyager-golden-record-40th-anniversary-timothy-ferris I had never listened to some of the stuff they sent before. Interesting story about how they did some of it. I also came across this video too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDrBIKOR01c which has some interesting things in it. It talks about Voyager and then talks about something I had never even heard about before. (https://libraryofbabel.info/) Easy to start getting lost in stuff when looking for something. |
