the last was 2008 / Ike / didn't measure / we lived in Cypress, worked in Houston

a) assigning a number to something doesn't do the aggregate impact justice
b) water kills more ppl than wind
c) measuring is a guy thing

Our "house" suffered no damage, our "home" did; our neighbors did, our community did, our places of employment did, our friends and loved ones did, our lives did, millions & millions were affected & it happened in the middle of the greatest global financial crisis in decades, so many lost their savings and jobs in the middle of it all, in addition to their "things"

the Ike story is everywhere, here's a few links
