I was includimg me more directly. If you look at the rainfall, the immediate Tampa area didn't actually receive a lot of rain from Fay:

The month before Fay is when I actually got a lot of rain. I was looking back and see that on the old message board I posted a message on July 15th, 2008 titled "Most rain I've ever seen fall in this short of time in Tampa". The post is not accessible anymore but I posted some pictures and video then. I uploaded some pictures again below. I think this was the highest my pool ever got. It gets over the top sometimes, but it was covering a lot of my patio too. It also flooded the street in front my house, which has actually been worse in a rainstorm since. At the time it was worse than I had ever seen, though unlike future times this happened, I think this occurrence was partly related to a somewhat obstructed storm drain.
