They usually start that off how they have with an active storm and then throw in a word like "elsewhere" to start off the next part. (I just Googled the phrase with elsewhere in the front and that is how they normally do it.)
Technically, tropical cyclone formation is not expected for the next 5 days. A depression is a tropical cyclone, so TD Two has actually already become a tropical cyclone, just not a tropical storm. But since all that is confusing, they usually have "elsewhere".
When they give the chances of development in the Outlook, that is for tropical cyclone formation, which includes depressions and named storms. |
