La Nina Yields More Storms but GM Yields Less Local Storms But Stronger Storms

With just the presence of the AMO (Atlantic Multidecadal Modulation) we should be seeing more strong storms in the tropics.

I guess up to a certain temperature the Atlantic gets more storms due to the AMO, but when the whole world heats up the number of storms in the Atlantic may decrease while the intensity of the Atlantic storms still increases.

To the extent that the Caribbean heats up faster than most areas of the world we may see more storms, IMHO. But notice how strong a La Nina we have this year:
