Hi storm, just want to compliment you, if I may, on your use of the clarifier "South Florida" in your description. Makes you sound like a true professional, IMHO.
So many folks (including, frequently, The Weather Channel people) love to refer to "Florida," period, as if anything threatening any part of Florida is threatening the whole state.
Yes, I realize that could be said for almost any state, but Florida's unique shape, and the great distances comprising the peninsular leg vs. the panhandle leg, make it especially misleading, I think, to mention the state in one fell swoop when it comes to TC track predictions.
(Cocktail conversation tidbit: It's almost as far by car from Pensacola Beach to Key West as it is from Pensacola Beach to Chicago.)
In any case, thumbs up to you, storm!
And I'm sure we'll hear from the Texas people on this, too, right?
