Perhaps no one made any obvious mistakes.

I mentioned in previous posts that I thought this storm was strange.

When I suggested that there may be two jelly rolls side by side I guess I thought that two hot towers or whatever were present.

Maybe the two towers split up and the NHC followed the weaker one that continued moving forward.

Hindsight is 20/20.
