I really think Joe Bastardi deserves some formal recognition.  Using his own brilliant intuition besides simply relying on what the models were saying.  If the models were always right 100% of the time, then you wouldn't need intuition.  

Joe Bastardi is one of the best, more knowledgeable Meteorologists in the business.  Accu Weather is so lucky to have him on board.  He probably really should be director of the NHC.
