I think I know why the page is sometimes not loaded correctly.

If you look at Google Chrome and Firefox's browser console ("Ctrl + Shift + I" to toggle it on and off and then go to "Console" tab if you don't see the console at the bottom already) you will see that when the page doesn't load correctly, these files are blocked:

http://www.homestead.com/~media/elements/Text/font_styles_ns4.css
http://www.homestead.com/~media/elements/Text/font_styles.css

Those style the page. Save those on your site and then adjust the HTML of the page to reflect where you saved them on your server.

The blocked message in Chrome is:

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_RESPONSE.NotSameOrigin

In Firefox:

The resource at "http://www.homestead.com/~media/elements/Text/font_styles.css" was blocked due to its Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy header (or lack thereof). See https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Web/HTTP/Cross-Origin_Resource_Policy_(CORP)#

What I don't understand is why in Google Chrome on a desktop computer it sometimes loads those and displays the page correctly. It's almost as if when loading those files sometimes the server there gives a different response perhaps. I don't really understand that.

But the reason why the page looks odd when those files are blocked is because the text is then a default size set by the browser which is too large to fit in the absolutely positioned elements on the page. So things then just run into each other. When loaded, the CSS in those files sets the font size in those absolutely positioned elements so that the text size is small enough that it doesn't spill over into the other elements.
