I like the MRMS display too.

But I do like to be able to see watches and warnings too. I used to use NOAA's old radar imagery for watches and warnings. But their "lite" imagery, which only has warnings when available, is too delayed a lot of the time to use that simple imagery, though I assume it will get better. When I had some warning a week or two ago, the radar was either slow or at times completely blank when it comes to that "lite" imagery.

I probably use the NEXRAD radar products on Weather Underground most, even though it doesn't work as well as it used to (can't easily zoom, have to do it before page loads) and watches and warnings and lightning no longer appear, even though there are still options for them. I like that it shows estimated arrival time of some parts of storms with arrows that represent the forecast movement over an hour.

I haven't used the new GIS display much at all yet. No need to add to the slowness if it still exists.

The Weather Underground has their Wundermap, another interactive GIS display, which does have severe weather working on it, but I don't like the texture of the radar returns.

Just looking at NOAA again, I see a map that shows, for the entire lower 48, all watches and warnings on a static map:

No radar on that map. But that doesn't help show a tornado warning for example really close up. And it doesn't link to the exact watch or warning text either. I used to go to NOAA's site for the actual watch or warning for my area and then go the radar to see the box drawn on the radar image to see where it was. But I just don't want to have to go through trying to load the GIS display during a time when others are too, perhaps making it even more unusable.

I still don't have just one source I go to for radar data. And now I don't even have two, it's more try a whole bunch and see what is working. Not great when there is severe weather. I guess it's better just to turn on the TV when there is something severe as the local channels cover it with the radar and the warning boxes.
