thundersnow & wind chill 15 in panhandle, while we had heat index 84, but the front should make it off the coast of TX by tomorrow AM - pretty strong winds with this one

.SYNOPSIS...A weak warm front over the northern Gulf will lift north tonight and reach the Gulf coast Sat. A strong cold front reach the NW Gulf late tonight, and reach the Bay of Campeche Fri night, west gale force winds west of the front near the coast of Mexico Fri into early Saturday. Elongated low pressure organizing over the Bay of Campeche this afternoon. This system has a medium chance of becoming a tropical cyclone tonight or Friday, before it merges with the cold front. This low is producing widespread showers and thunderstorms over the western Gulf.
