What mystifies me is the NWS forecast that goes out 7 days shows no low in the western Caribbean yet nearly every other global model shows something there in 7 days. In fact the EURO shows a hurricane down there in 10 days but the NWS stubbornly goes with the GFS forecast on a model that has not had a good year . Even the UKM shows a potential hurricane south of Cuba 28th so if this plays out the NWS needs to stop leaning on the GFS.
