Did I hear correct? A lot of the pumps in NO are down and have been for months?

What in the world? I heard some people got fired...oh, that's great and REALLY helps in a time like this. Where did the designated money go?

The Federal govt poured billions into NO for the Federal Levees....but the local govt has apparently done little including the lack of repair, testing etc...of city owned flood control equip and power resources.

Sounds like A. Local govt needs to be held accountable. B. Is it time to move people away from ever sinking bowl and enforce building restrictions to do so? We've moved people away from the Mississippi flood plain...time to rethink areas in NO.

Those poor people.....

Or am I missing something here?
