A season that is entering its prime period,has spit out 5 tropical storms, all of whom were choked with dry air or sheared, or both. The interesting thing is that the dry air and shear show no signs of letting up. We, again, are getting these "pocket" storms, who find a tiny spot to organize, and then get killed.
Things can change on a dime, but shear and dry air have been a steady presence since 2006. Can we go to 12 seasons without a major landfall? |
