According to The Weather Channel, Hurricane Matthew dropped an astounding 5.1 Trillions gallons of rain.

Just for fun, now that the tropics have settled down, let us do some siferin...cypheran...psyphering......whatever you git the point !

As of 2016, the U.S. used an average of 384.74 gallons of gasoline per day.

Extrapolating that number, if we could burn rain instead of gasoline (wouldn't that be nice) that would be 17,911.07 days. Or, 49.07 years! We're taking about the year 2065 folks!

There were lots of pretty girls sitting in my math class so I didn't pay much attention....LOL Feel free to check my numbers!

PS Charleston received 22 inches of rain since September 1st. That's 37 days or 1.68 inches per day.
