Re: Where the forecast failed

I kept watching the steering currents and knew that the eye was going to go somewhere between Charleston and Myrtle Bch.  I also had the gut feeling that this was going to ride up the East coast.  The highest winds we got here in the midstate of SC, especially in Sumter where I am at was 63mph.  I am still without power at my house, a tree came out of the ground and fell on powerlines snapping a power pole in half.  Duke power has estimated that my neighborhood won't see power until Thursday evening.  Many other have reported it won't be til Sunday when they will get power.  In my county and surrounding counties which cover Sumter, Lee, and Kershaw we have 3 power companies; SCE&G, Black River Elect Co Op, and Duke Energy.  I am thankful we have not had any lives lost.

As soon as I have power at my house, I will post pictures.
