This is the eastern Carib. Things often don't do well there. I am actually rather impressed that it is strengthening despite the organization. As Cypress noted, the pressure is dropping.
There is plenty of time for this to become a major hurricane. Despite being a 70mph storm, the current organization might still be a bit difficult for the models compared to a storm that was not being sheared like Matthew currently is. |
