My husband is in TV news, and various social media is where people (younger people in particular) get their information. Fewer and fewer people sit down to watch the evening news, so change is necessary and inevitable. Periscope, Facebook Live, Twitter... that's where the push is now. The immediacy of this type of communication can be life-saving, especially with regard to dangerous weather events.
