A surveillance mission ahead of the storm was conducted yesterday

An Air Force plane did a surveillance mission at around 30,000 feet Thursday afternoon and evening around and well north of 99L, sampling the environment. The recon system didn't carry it because the header was different than the system expects. I need to work on that. It had the identifier XX rather than EE. EE is the fourth suspect area of the year. ("CC" is skipped in that numbering scheme) "XX" is kind of a generic identifier for suspect area and the system was not designed to handle that.

This would have been data for the models. I'm not sure when it was available for the models (I don't know if it is done automatically, or it is reviewed first), but I would suspect that it should all at the very least be in the models coming out over the next couple hours, if not already in earlier runs.

Sonde data was from 11:09am EDT through 8:38pm EDT Thursday:
