Best guess re: 99L?

99L has me really nervous. After literally years of trying to sell in a down market, our Gulf Shores condo is due to close on Monday, 8/29. The buyers are lovely, anxious folks, who would have an attack if it appeared a strong storm was heading towards south Alabama or thereabouts; that earnest money might look like a small price to pay, at that point.
Can anyone calm me down either with regard to 1) the most likely track or 2) the timeframe for when the storm might emerge into the Gulf, if it does? I understand this is still quite early, but the thought of buyers backing out when it dawns on them that Gulf Shores does, every now and then, get hit by a big one has me ready to take up drinking.
