I don't mind the rain. We haven't received too much yet, around an inch. (But then again, after an inch or two all at once, as my dad says, it doesn't help you next week.)

A few weeks ago I had planned on giving blood today because locally there is a bloodmobile at Walmart and you get a gift card. It's from 2pm to 7pm. I don't want to be in rush hour traffic, but I also don't want to leave if I can't get back in because of water. I don't think it will likely come up high enough to flood enough to block my neighborhood. If that band had setup over the mouth of the bay sooner, then perhaps. Also, with the way the storm is moving, the angle of the wind at the moment is slightly off from lining up with the bay. In Frances, it seemed like it was angled perfectly and the water rose a lot, but perhaps it didn't need to be angled so perfectly. If the water is high enough, it blocks the rain from emptying into the canal. Then both can block the road. But I will just leave later or go some other time. If the weather is bad I also don't want to drive in it. There are some areas that flood worse, just purely from fresh water, and those roads can be closed sometimes after very heavy rain, so even if I can get out, I might not be able to get there.

There are a lot of nice enhancements that NASA has. I wish they had some kind of label. I don't know what to call them and I always forget which I like best. I like using the viewer like that because NASA's is a little more cumbersome to use.
