The NOAA point forecast for me has up to a little over 5 inches for me perhaps. For me personally, a lot of rain doesn't impact me too much. The street floods and you can't drive out, but all it does is take some mulch from my yard. Fresh water flooding can't flood me. (It's all about the surge being about 8 to 9 feet above sea level.)

It was 95 here yesterday. Considering we have not been higher than 99 in recorded history for any period during the year at Tampa International Airport, that's hot! (and it's not a dry heat!)

In some of the flooding events below, some people learned not to drive through flooded streets in my neighborhood. Cars stalled and funny enough, they don't like water in some of the computerized components. (I know of at least one person it cost a few thousand to get their car fixed.)

Flooding concerns, both due to fresh water from the rain and salt water from surge, is why I can't stay at my house with my car during a hurricane. There is only one low entrance into my neighborhood, which sits on a peninsula. Even in a tropical storm I can't get out.
