That picture of the pole is incredible. I didn't know it was anywhere close to that in some places. I could see where pipes would be breaking often, along with a lot of other infrastructure issues. Here in central Florida we get sinkholes inland due to excessive use of groundwater. (such as drought and when they water a lot during winter to try to keep crops like strawberries from dying) It seems to be more of that here than wider issues with the land sinking. Although South Florida has more issues with land sinking.
