Sorry for the confusion. The GDFT model run that I saw for Joaquin showed a U.S. landfall somewhere in Virginia with a subsequent storm track that brought it near Toronto, very similar to Hazel's track. Understandably, you saw the words "projected landfall" and logically thought that I was referring to the NHC projected track, which I wasn't. That was clumsy wording on my part.
I was wrong about Hazel's landfall. She came ashore near Myrtle Beach, not Wilmington.

I hoe that clears up the confusion.
