It's like Twitter, long form. I remember a time when people expressed things in more than 140 characters. Now it's about how many words can be removed to make it still kind of sound intelligible to enough people. It's nice to have the extra words!

Quality over quantity is better anyway. The NHC only recently had another blog post after about an eleven month gap.

It doesn't even have to be about an approaching storm as that would be the busiest time for you. Methodology on the city database and predictions, perhaps featuring cities occasionally that stand out in the statistics. Such as most hit, least hit, which get hit by hurricanes much more than tropical storms, etc. Maybe after the season, such as a review of how the year's storms changed city rankings. You have covered that in your videos too, but maybe print is better long term? (In videos too is nice for context of course for what is being discussed.) If you had that information in a video, it is not searchable. (unless Google's YouTube auto captioning, which is terrible, is indexed, which I doubt it is) A blog post would be. So if someone purposefully searched for information about something that was in one of your videos, they could not find it. You mentioned Google and it is actually indexed already: https://www.google.com/#q=http:%2F%2Fhurricanecity.com%2Fblogs%2F

You could even dictate something to a computer rather than type it. (I hate typing things.) I've been trying that out on my computer some lately seeing how well it works. It's not perfect, but the speech recognition has been built in for a long time now and is getting better.
