For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:
An elongated area of low pressure located about 1600 miles west- southwest of the southern tip of Baja California continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms well to the northeast of the center. Environmental conditions are expected to continue to become less conducive for development while the system moves slowly westward. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent * Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent
An area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred miles south of the coast of Mexico in a couple of days. Environmental conditions appear to be conducive for gradual development of the system after mid-week while it moves west-northwestward to northwestward. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent
