Re: Verizon FIOS drops The Weather Channel permanently

Bay News 9 was something I had liked too, but it comes with Bright House which I got rid of about three years ago. (That was the main reason I waited so long to switch. Plus, the customer service got a lot better.) Verizon was a lot cheaper to signup with at the time. I did like channel 49 on Verizon from TWC. I could see the radar real quick. Although, TWC's radar was always too sensitive and not detailed enough. It would show rain that was so light it was not even reaching the ground. I didn't their smoothing either on the returns. While that is completely gone, I guess you can still look up weather on demand I believe, but I would rather just go online instead since I rarely use my more complicated digital cable box anyway. I don't even know if you could see radar on demand anyway. But I use the little standard cable box as it is easier to turn on. (I power down, using surge protectors, all my devices when I don't use them and it takes a minute or two to turn on the more complicated digital cable box so I rarely ever use it. It burns so hot anyway. Saves power and doesn't heat the house as much during the summer having everything off most of the time.)
