I was watching the local news in Tampa tonight and even they were showing the roof rake. I also saw people with shovels too. (too late to go out and buy a rake I guess, probably sold out even if you could get to the store and it's not like the postal service is probably delivering orders online) I see one article that talks about someone falling off their roof though. Not sure what they were doing, but I would guess snow removal.
I saw an image on the news tonight that showed what they said was a one story house that looked like a two story house with a massive amount of snow on top. Must have had drifts on top. I couldn't even tell what kind of roof it may have had.
