With such a small wind field at the moment, and even forecast later on, it looks like it is going to come down to wobbles. If it were 50 miles west of the island it could be similar to Fay. If a direct hit, potentially catastrophic. We might not know until very near potential landfall how bad it might be.

Recon is on the way right now and should reach the center around 7:30am EDT. I'm wondering what they might find. The NHC admittedly didn't have a lot of data for 2am and 5am. I'm wondering if we're seeing a pinhole eye like Wilma.
