The Global Hawk is on the way to the one in the middle of the Atlantic. I'm not sure when/if they
might do a mission on 92L around Florida. They were supposed to have two Global Hawks during
this research period but one is still in California still undergoing maintenance last time I heard.
They had this mission already planned, although because of weather I think it had been delayed
a day. Plus, the Global Hawk might have a bit more research focus on storm formation in the
eastern Atlantic, although it has done missions in the Gulf before. 92L is also kind of somewhat
around/over land too. |
