Weather here on Maui (near Kahului)  Last night every window was shut except window at the head of my bed.  All night was very quiet.  A little rain but very little wind.  I was up at 6:00 and about 6:15 a very heavy band of wind and some rain came through.  I was guessing it was around 40-45 mph.  The airport had a gust at 38.  Mostly cloudy sky with a few breaks of blue.  Breezy now around 20-25 mph winds out of the east/northeast.  Up Country has trees down on power lines so there are a few thousand people without power up there.  I am not sure about the winds up there now but I would imagine they will have power later this afternoon. Hana there are power outages but I am sure they will be fixed pretty quick as Hana is a very small town.  So all is good for now.
