I should point out that the long range GFS, at least in the 18Z run I just looked at, develops a new something at the very end, we're taking two weeks out, that is actually currently still over Africa, not the area the NHC is currently talking about. I have seen the GFS handle the area the NHC talks about by either re-curving it, going into Central America or not really seeming to develop it. So, covering a lot of the possible scenarios from run to run.

The area of over Africa might be represented by P08L on this site:

And that is the area that the GFS developed eventually in the 18Z run on July 26th. (But it is so far out. Again, for example, the GFS has been different on the area the NHC talks about by thousands of miles.)
