Interesting thoughts.  And even though such sentiments would seem to make this all about simple personal choice as to when to leave the workplace, I agree with Jim that the growing turnover at the NHC tends to make one wonder.  

I don't have to tell y'all that this is a critical position, and I sure hope they pick someone of true excellence to fill it.  We in hurricane country are so very dependent on a properly functioning NHC!!
