3400 still without power on Long Island

8 days after the storm still some without power.Feel so bad for these people.And this was from a tropical storm,not a full fledged hurricane.

As Jim said in another topic(and he does not even live here,and he knows),they definitely need to do alot to improve the electrical system up here.No v cuts with the trees they just let the trees grow around the wires.

There are so many poles that are on an angle or warped.some poles look like the have been up since the 30,s,lol.There are 1,124,248 LIPA customers on Long Island and 512,000 lost power during the tropical storm.Would not suprised me if the whole Island loses power when we get a full fleged hurricane.
