Wasn't the 3 the alert status for Merapi?
In the articles it indicated they are having a lot of trouble moving the 12,000 people at risk off the
slopes that are most endangered when it goes beyond explosions and really erupts.
It referred to lava flows at 110 mph in the past too-- yikes!
One farmer they interviewed said he was returning to his rice fields-- because it was only a shaking--not an explosion with lightening. And everyone knew that without the lightening-- it wasn't serious! EEK-- I think 12 people have already died from this eruption!
Not a good day near this volcano!
