That is forecast to drop around Sunday.

Tropopause is forcast to lift then throught the entire southern half of the east CONUS and well into the GOM.

That opens the door for Richard in the GOM.

A high tropopause allows the vortex column to stretch and hence spin faster.

Good thing water is cooling down there.
